After someone has been arrested they must complete the booking process at the jail before the amount of the bond can be accurately determined.
Once the bond has been set, you can calculate the amount of money needed to pay the bail with this formula.
The fee is 10 percent with a $100 minimum per charge.
These fees are regulated by the Florida Department of Financial Services and should never vary from Agency to Agency. The fee can be paid by cash, check or credit card and is non-refundable once the defendant has been released from the jail.
In addition to the fee, the Bond must by guaranteed by someone to insure that the defendant appears in court. If you or the defendant are a home owner, a signature can be used. We also take jewelry, credit cards, cash, checks guns & various other items of value. In some cases we are negotiable with collateral so we suggest you call to discuss your situation with one of our agents.
Things that are considered:
After the fees and collateral have been agreed upon the indemnitor (person responsible for the bond) would meet the agent at our office to fill out the necessary paperwork and pay the fees.
Once a bond is posted it generally takes 6 to 8 hours for the defendant to be released. This delay has nothing to do with the bail agent. It is the procedure which the jail uses to process the release of an inmate. NO BAIL AGENT HAS THE ABILITY TO ALTER THIS PROCESS.
